Get fit with a 15-30-15 workout

Remember when I told you I had a great workout to share with you? On Monday, after 3.5 miles on the treadmill, I headed to the workout room to complete this 15-30-15 workout. Each circuit includes two ab and two leg strengthening exercises, all with a quick burst of cardio (high knees) in between. It’s a great way to switch things up and get the most out of your workout all in a short period of time!

It took me about 15 minutes to complete.

As for today, I headed to the gym for a great 30-minute treadmill workout with “pyramids,” a type of HIIT. I got the idea from Peace, Love, and Oats, and it definitely helped me bust the treadmill boredom that’s all too common! My workout looked something like this:

0:00 – 5:00 –> 6.5

5:00 – 6:00 –> 7.0

6:00 – 7:00 –> 7.5

7:00 – 8:00 –> 8.0

8:00 – 9:00 –> 7.5

9:00 – 10:00 –> 7.0

10:00 – 11:00 –> 6.5

11:00 – 29:00 –> Repeat minutes 5-11 twice.

29:00 – 30:00 –> 6.0 & cool down

Maybe it was because I started my workout with one of my homemade protein bars, but it sure was a good one!
