Happy Friday, everyone! How’s your day so far? I started off my morning with 20 minutes on the elliptical followed by five rounds of my “Anything for a Minute” circuit (except that I did 30 sec. circuits instead of 60 sec. circuits). I find that I can really keep up my intensity for 30 seconds but after that, I start to get more lax. Anyone else with me? Either way, I was a sweaty mess by the end!
Enough about sweat…I’m hoping to work up a nice big sweat this weekend during the 15-miler I have on my marathon training agenda! It’s supposed to be almost 60 degrees here, so the weather should be beautiful. I’m actually pretty excited for it , but we’ll see how excited I am at mile 10 🙂
It’s been a while since my last Fit Friday Find, but I have an afternoon snack I’ve been lovin’ all week, so I knew I had to share…Chobani!
Okay, okay, it’s no surprise that I eat CHO most days. It’s pretty much a staple in every WIAW post ever. Even though I love the stuff, I’ve been trying to be more conscious about my sugar intake and some of the fruit-flavored CHOs can pack 21 grams+ of sugar. Unfortunately, I can’t stand the taste of plain. So, what’s a girl to do?
Mix it up, of course! I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to figure this out, but I’ve been mixing 3 oz. of my favorite fruit-flavored CHO (Black Cherry, Mango, Pomegranate, etc.) with 3 oz. of plain 0% CHO all week. It’s cut my sugar intake and still has a great punch of flavor. It’s nothing but good!
I am off to church…we are moving to a new campus, and there’s still a lot to do! Opening weekend is just EIGHT days away, and I definitely can’t wait. I’ll check in with ya’ll later!
